HISTORY

On May 4, 2008, Leaclair Baptist Church and National Avenue Baptist Church joined forces to strengthen their ability to impact their community and the 

Kingdom of God as NEW CHURCH MEMPHIS. 

Our vision is two-fold:

    1 - Continue the revitalization of New Church Memphis into a dynamic, growing, ministering,

         worshipping body of believers impacting our community with the Gospel and the life-

         change it offers.

         New Church Memphis is located at the campus of the former Leaclair Baptist.

    2 - Establish a regional New Church Memphis Ministry Center to assist the community by

         meeting physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs.  Additionally, this center will

         serve as a church planting hub focusing on developing new, indigenous churches for the

         Mid South.

         The New Church Memphis Ministry Center will be located in the former National Avenue Baptist buildings.

Our strategy is simple and Biblical:  "Love God... Love People... Live it!"

Our message is:  "YOU Can Be New Again!"
